
Camille Gaspard, MSB
Community Outreach Coordinator
Millie became a member of the CPAN/PeriPAN team in September 2023. She graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration on Health Sciences, and a minor in Communications, specializing in Health Communications. Additionally, Millie recently earned her Master of Science in Business from UTSA. Passionate about expanding healthcare knowledge, Millie aims to enhance the capacity for understanding among both patients and providers.

Catherine Silva
Community Outreach Coordinator
Catherine has been with UT Health San Antonio since 2021. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Texas A&M University- San Antonio in 2019. During her time at TAMUSA, she worked in the Student Counseling Center. Catherine also served as a Peace Corps Public Health Volunteer to empower communities and build capacity to improve maternal and child health in Guinea, West Africa.

Jaime Guzman Jr., DO
Psychiatrist
Dr. Guzman is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Clarity Child Guidance Center primarily offering outpatient psychiatric services. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas and his bachelor’s degree in biology from University of Texas Pan American in Edinburg, Texas. He completed general psychiatry residency and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at LSU Health Shreveport in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Guzman enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He enjoys cooking for his family, watching sports, reading different genres of books, and doing outdoor activities.

Joseph Blader, PhD
CPAN/PeriPAN Director
Dr. Blader holds the Meadows Foundation and Semp Russ Professorship in Child Psychiatry at UT Health SA. He has held clinical and academic positions at the Northwell Health system in New York, the NYU Child Study Center, Stony Brook University School of Medicine, and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He’s had research and service grants from the National Institutes of Health and other private and government organizations and has published extensively in medical journals and textbooks. Area of specialty has been young people who experience emotional dysregulation leading to social and behavioral problems, including aggression.

Kristina Fields, MS, LMFT
Program Manager
Kristina joined the Department Psychiatry and Behavioral Health in 2013 and has since served in clinical, research, and administrative roles. She currently serves as Faculty Specialist and Program Manager for the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium at UT Health. Kristina’s clinical background includes working with children, families, and individuals with concerns that include depression, anxiety, ADHD, relational conflict, trauma, and life transitions. Her research experience has allowed her to work with specialized populations including growing families, active military members, and veterans. Kristina’s clinical interest include trauma and family-based interventions.

Marisa Taddeo, MD
Marisa Taddeo, MD is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and faculty member at UT Health SA specializing in family mental health.
Her interest in reproductive psychiatry emerged during her fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry, where she observed the impact of parental mental health on children’s development and well-being.
As both a clinician and a mother, she brings a family-centered perspective to her work and values the opportunity, through PeriPAN, to educate and support fellow physicians on perinatal mental health.

Shanon Claudio, LPC
Behavior Health Specialist
Shanon has been a licensed professional counselor since 2013. She has experience working with youth and families in a variety of settings, including community counseling and foster care. She has 5 years of experience providing case management for children and adults throughout Texas. Shanon has been with UT Health CPAN/PeriPAN team since July of 2020.

Torgeir Aavik, LPC
Behavior Health Specialist
Torgeir has been with CPAN/PeriPAN since the launch in 2020. Torgeir has experience working with abused and neglected youth as a CPS case worker and has experience working with complex family dynamics and developed family plans to produce effective change.
